Top Bespoke Tailor in Bangkok, Thailand

Class Bespoke showroom interior with fabric displays and tailored jackets

Bangkok has no shortage of shops offering a custom suit, but the words custom, made to measure and bespoke do not always describe the same process. A useful shortlist therefore needs more than star ratings or a promise of speed. It should help you compare who takes the measurements, whether an individual pattern is created, what jacket construction is available, how many fittings the schedule allows, which cloth is actually being quoted, and what happens if the garment needs further work.

This is a curated editorial guide to ten notable Bangkok tailoring businesses, not a league table from first to tenth. Class Bespoke publishes the guide and appears first for that reason; its inclusion is not an independent award. The other nine businesses were selected because an active official website, a current Bangkok address and a corresponding Google Maps presence could be verified on 23 October 2026. None paid for inclusion, and inclusion is not a guarantee or endorsement. Confirm the branch, opening hours, construction, price, cloth and appointment availability directly before ordering.

1. Class Bespoke Tailor

Class Bespoke is a family-led Bangkok tailoring business operating since 1999. It serves Bangkok residents and international visitors from two showrooms: 154 Thong Lo in Khlong Tan Nuea and 9/1 Sukhumvit 49/4 in the same Watthana district. Its range includes suits, blazers, shirts, trousers, tuxedos and wedding attire, so a customer can plan a single garment or a coordinated wardrobe through one consultation.

The current suit specification is unusually clear about construction and planning time. Class Bespoke offers fused/basic, half-canvas and traditional full-canvas options, with the precise internal build confirmed for each commission. Its published planning ranges are approximately three to five days for standard construction, five to ten days for half canvas and fifteen to thirty days for full canvas. These are not guarantees: cloth, design, current capacity, fitting availability and corrections can change the schedule. A limited 24-hour service is restricted to eligible fused-construction work confirmed in advance.

Consultations cover intended use, cloth, style and construction before individual measurements and posture observations establish the starting point. Fittings review the shoulder line, collar, chest, balance, sleeves and relationship between jacket and trousers. Hotel or on-site measurement can be discussed by appointment, while delivery or international shipping is arranged only when eligible and confirmed.

2. Rajawongse Clothier

Rajawongse Clothier operates at 130 Sukhumvit Road beside the Landmark Hotel, close to Nana. Its official heritage page traces the family business to 1961 and the Bangkok location to the 1970s. The house focuses on menswear, including business suits, sport coats, formalwear, shirts and tuxedos.

Its official suit page highlights English and Italian wool and wool-cashmere cloth in different weights, colours and patterns. The published process covers design, hand measurement, fitting and collection, with shirts generally receiving one fitting and suits two or three. Rajawongse also says it retains measurements for returning orders and can arrange tracked international shipping after the garment is completed. A prospective customer should still confirm the quoted canvas construction, cloth reference and schedule for the specific commission rather than infer them from a general description.

3. Jesse & Son Custom Tailors

Jesse & Son is a family-run shop and workshop at 1/15 Sukhumvit Soi 10. Its official history describes more than thirty years in tailoring, while its current range covers custom garments for both men and women. The published process is concrete: the consultation establishes use, cloth, style and fit; more than twenty measurements and posture observations inform an individual pattern; the cloth is hand-cut; and fittings are used to refine the garment.

The construction page describes horsehair canvas extending into the lapel and other jacket components, canvassed sleeve heads, hand-felled collar work, horn buttons and Bemberg lining options. Those details are useful signals, but the exact canvas extent and included features should still be written into the quotation for the chosen garment. Jesse & Son also says further fittings can be arranged as needed and that completed orders can be delivered to a hotel or residence after quality control.

4. Universal Tailors

Universal Tailors is at 252/2 Silom Road, next to Soi 18 in Bang Rak. The house describes more than forty years of experience and focuses on menswear including bespoke suits and custom shirts, with wedding guidance and international trunk shows also represented on its official site.

Its strongest differentiator is a publicly documented multi-stage baste process. Consultation and body observations lead to an individual paper pattern. A rough-baste fitting allows large changes before the jacket is structurally committed; a forward fitting follows after the garment is taken down, re-cut and advanced to pocket-baste stage; the lining, collar, sleeves and handwork are then completed for final fitting. This process is relevant to a client who wants visible fitting stages and enough time for pattern correction. Confirm the calendar in advance, because a more involved fitting sequence cannot be compressed without changing what can be assessed.

5. Tailor On Ten

Despite the name, Tailor On Ten is located at 93 Sukhumvit Soi 8, at the end of the lane near Nana. It is a menswear-only tailor and advises booking ahead. The business publishes more process detail than many shops: individual patterns are drawn, cut and sewn in its Bangkok premises, and its standard jacket construction is half canvas rather than full canvas.

The in-store sequence normally starts with cloth, design choices and measurements, followed by a rough jacket fitting, a second fitting with the jacket closer to completion and a final review. Its FAQ asks customers to allow four full working days and two or three fittings for a jacket; it explicitly warns that shorter schedules reduce the ability to refine fit. The cloth range described on the site includes Italian, English and Chinese suitings, with named European mill options available. Customers who complete the fitting process can later reorder from saved measurements and patterns.

6. Pinky Tailor

Pinky Tailor is based at 888/40 Ploenchit Road in Mahatun Plaza Arcade, near BTS Phloen Chit. The family business says it was founded in 1980 and makes clothing for women as well as men. Suits, jackets, shirts and trousers sit alongside a broader made-to-order approach for daily, business and occasion wear.

Pinky's strongest public distinction is its fabric-led consultation. The official site describes three floors of cloth selected from different countries and encourages clients to handle and compare the colour, texture and feel before choosing. Its style catalogue covers single- and double-breasted jackets, notch, peak and shawl lapels, several pocket forms and different vent arrangements. The site also presents measurement guides and wedding-suit planning advice. Ask the team to state the internal jacket construction and fitting schedule on the order, because the current public pages do not provide one universal specification.

7. Narin Couture

Narin Couture is at 180 Sukhumvit Road, between Soi 8 and Soi 10. Its official site states that it was established on Sukhumvit Road in July 1997 and serves both women and men. It also emphasizes the founder's Paris education and a selection of international materials.

The public website is concise, so it is better used as an introduction than as a complete technical specification. Customers interested in Narin should ask in person which garments are cut from individual patterns, what canvas or interlining will be used, how much handwork is included, how many fittings the order requires and whether the quoted completion date allows enough time for corrections. That direct conversation is especially important when comparing Narin with houses that publish their construction details online.

8. The Empire Tailors

The Empire Tailors operates at 124–126 Sukhumvit Road, between Soi 4 and Soi 6 beside Nana Post Office. The family business dates its origins to 1978. It offers made-to-measure suits, jackets, shirts, tuxedos and trousers, with online reordering available for established clients.

Empire's process page follows cloth and trim selection with measurements, an individual paper pattern, a first fitting and at least a second fitting, with a third when necessary. It identifies trouser break, seat, cuff point and jacket drape as details reviewed as the garment develops. The site says Bemberg lining and horn buttons are standard for its suits and lists wool, linen, cotton and named mill collections among the cloth options. As with every entry here, verify the actual interlining or canvas specification on the written order rather than relying on the label “bespoke” alone.

9. Crown Tailor

Crown Tailor's single Bangkok showroom is at Shop No. 13, Sukhumvit Soi 8, a short walk from Nana station. The business combines a shopfront with its own tailoring and alterations operation and offers suits, sport jackets, tuxedos, shirts, trousers, overcoats and related custom options.

Its visitor guide describes an initial consultation lasting roughly forty-five to sixty minutes, covering cloth, lapels, collars, cuffs, buttons, lining and monograms before twenty-five to thirty measurements and body observations are recorded. At the first fitting, a sample shirt, nearly finished trousers and a jacket with body and sleeves still separate allow changes to be marked. A second fitting checks all pieces; a third can be arranged if more work is needed. Sizes and adjustments are retained for later reorders. The published sequence makes Crown worth considering for clients who want clear fitting checkpoints near the Nana transport corridor.

10. Raja's Fashions

Raja's Fashions is a family-run gentlemen's tailor at 160 Sukhumvit Road, between Sukhumvit Soi 6 and Soi 8 near BTS Nana. Its official history describes more than sixty years in bespoke menswear across three generations. The published range includes suits, sports coats, tuxedos, trousers and shirts, supported by fabric selection, customization and multiple fittings.

The current FAQ states that its standard suits use a hybrid construction with canvas from shoulder to waist and that full-canvas construction is available by request with a substantially longer lead time. The business also describes saved-order reordering and worldwide shipping for suitable completed orders. Those published details make it possible to discuss construction and scheduling before a visit, but clients should still confirm the exact cloth, jacket build, fitting calendar and delivery plan in writing for their own commission.

How to choose among Bangkok custom suit shops

Start with the garment, not the marketing label

Explain the occasion, climate, frequency of wear and travel dates before asking for a price. A business suit used every week may need a different cloth and construction from a wedding dinner jacket or a lightweight travel blazer. Ask the shop to write the garment, cloth code, fibre content, construction, lining, buttons and included fittings on the quotation.

Ask what “bespoke” means in that shop

Some houses draft an individual paper pattern and use a basted fitting; others adjust an existing block or complete more of the garment before the first fitting. Both can produce useful clothes, but they are different processes. Ask who drafts and cuts the pattern, where production happens, what stage the jacket reaches at each fitting and whether the pattern will be updated after corrections.

Compare construction precisely

Do not treat fused, half canvas and full canvas as decorative sales terms. Ask which areas of the jacket use canvas or adhesive interlining, what material is used, and whether the quoted option applies to the exact cloth and price. Full canvas generally requires more work and time; half canvas can balance structure and efficiency; good fused construction can be practical for some budgets and schedules. None removes the need for sound pattern, pressing and fit.

Protect time for fittings

A first fitting is useful only if the shop has time to make the resulting correction. International visitors should share every date they can attend, not just their departure date. If the schedule is too short, discuss later delivery rather than assuming that a rushed handover is the same process. Try the finished garment in ordinary movement—standing, sitting, reaching and walking—and review both jacket and trousers together.

Verify cloth and aftercare

Look at the selvedge or bunch label where available and record the cloth code. A mill name or high Super number alone does not determine whether the cloth suits Bangkok, frequent travel or daily wear. Before paying, ask about alteration responsibility, remakes, international shipping, duties, garment care and what happens if your measurements change.

Frequently asked questions

Is this an objective ranking of the ten best Bangkok tailors?

No. It is a researched editorial shortlist, not a test of finished garments and not a ranking from best to worst. Class Bespoke is listed first because it publishes the guide. The right choice depends on the garment, construction, style, timetable, budget and fitting process you agree with the tailor.

How many days should I allow for a Bangkok suit?

There is no responsible universal answer. Published schedules in this guide range from several working days to several weeks. Construction, first-time pattern development, cloth availability, appointment timing and corrections all matter. More fittings are not useful if there is no time to implement their findings, so obtain a written plan before the cloth is cut.

Is a full-canvas suit always the best choice?

Not automatically. Full canvas can offer shaping and longevity when it is well executed, but it also takes more work, time and budget. Half canvas may be a strong balance for many clients, while fused construction can be appropriate when speed or price matters. Pattern, cloth, pressing and fit remain critical in every category.

What should I bring to a first consultation?

Bring your confirmed travel or event dates, the dress code, shoes or accessories that affect the outfit, and a few references that explain your preferred silhouette. Wear a well-fitting shirt and trousers if possible. Be ready to describe what you dislike in current clothes as clearly as what you want.

How should I compare suit fabrics in Bangkok?

Ask for the fibre content, mill or merchant, bunch name, cloth code, weight and weave—not only a brand or Super number. Consider Bangkok heat, air-conditioned offices, travel, frequency of wear and care. Handle the cloth in person where possible and record the exact selection on the order before cutting begins.

A considered Bangkok tailoring shortlist

Bangkok offers everything from traditional multi-stage baste fittings to digitally assisted custom ordering. The most useful comparison is therefore not “Which shop is number one?” but “Which process, specification and schedule best match this garment?” Use the official links above to confirm current information, ask each tailor the same questions and allow enough time to judge the fit before final delivery.

If you would like to discuss a Class Bespoke commission, compare the current suit options, review the bespoke fitting process and request an appointment with the garment, occasion and dates you have in mind.
