Cloth Selection for Bangkok and Beyond
Cloth should be selected for the intended use rather than by prestige alone. Tropical wool and other breathable options may suit Bangkok’s climate, while different weights and weaves may be appropriate for air-conditioned offices, travel, formal events or cooler destinations. Wool, linen, cotton, Merino, cashmere blends and other categories may be discussed subject to the current collections and stock available at consultation. Construction Choices
Depending on the garment and selected specification, jacket construction may be fused/basic, half canvas or full canvas. Half-canvas construction supports the upper front and lapel area; full canvas extends the internal canvas through substantially more of the jacket front. Horsehair canvas is a relevant internal material where specified. Handwork is used where the chosen construction calls for it, but it is not identical across every garment or starting price.
Fittings and Realistic Scheduling
Fittings are used to assess balance, comfort, length and proportion while the garment develops. The number of fittings varies with the garment, construction, adjustments, whether the client is new or returning and the available schedule. First-time suit commissions generally involve approximately two to three visits where the garment and schedule require them.
For planning, half-canvas work is generally discussed around 5–10 days and full-canvas work around 15–30 days. Eligible fused/basic rush orders may sometimes be possible after advance confirmation. These are planning ranges rather than guarantees, so international visitors should share their Bangkok dates before ordering.
